01Why is Wi-Fi weak or slow in part of the building?
Wireless performance can be affected by access-point placement, building materials, interference, channel use, device density or the wired connection behind the access point. AMSS reviews the environment and network before recommending whether configuration, relocation, additional coverage or infrastructure changes are required.
02How many wireless access points do we need?
There is no fixed number based only on floor area. The design depends on room layout, building materials, user density, device types, required coverage and the applications being used.
03Should guest Wi-Fi be separate from the business network?
Yes, guest access should normally be isolated from internal business systems. The required segmentation and access policies depend on the network architecture and the services guests need to reach.
04Can CCTV, phones and business data use the same physical network?
Yes, when the network is designed with sufficient switching capacity, Power over Ethernet, bandwidth and logical separation for the connected systems. VLANs and traffic policies can be used to organise voice, surveillance and business traffic according to the project requirements.
05Can AMSS upgrade an existing network instead of replacing everything?
Yes. AMSS can review the existing switches, access points, cabling, internet connectivity and network configuration to determine what can be retained, reconfigured, expanded or replaced.
