Intruder Alarm

Detection built around the risk.

Intruder alarm systems for offices, retail, warehouses, commercial properties and secure areas across Dubai and the UAE — designed around entry points, protected spaces, operating hours and response requirements.

AMSS designs, installs, configures and supports intrusion detection using appropriate sensors, zoning, warning devices and system integration, with SIRA coordination where applicable.

Design principles

Protection starts with the areas at risk.

Before detectors are selected, we identify the entry points and spaces that need protection, how the property is used, how the system will be armed and what should happen when an alarm is triggered.

  1. 01

    Risk & Protected Areas

Doors, windows, internal spaces, perimeter points and higher-risk areas are assessed individually so detection is placed according to the security requirement rather than repeated uniformly throughout the property.

  2. 02

    Detector Selection

Motion detectors, door contacts, glass-break sensors and other supported detection technologies are selected according to the opening, room conditions and type of intrusion risk being addressed.

  3. 03

    Zoning & Arming

Zones and user permissions are configured around operating hours and how different areas are occupied, allowing supported parts of the property to be armed independently where required.

  4. 04

    Alarm Response

Audible or visual warnings, authorised notifications and compatible security-system integration are defined around who needs to know about an activation and what action should follow.

What we deliver

What Our Intruder Alarm Systems Cover

AMSS designs intrusion detection around the protected areas, operating pattern and required alarm response, with sensors, zoning, warning devices and integration considered as one system.

  1. 01

    Motion & Intrusion Detection

Motion and supported intrusion-detection sensors selected and positioned according to the room, protected area and operating conditions. Where the application requires it, supported dual-technology or specialised sensors may be considered.

  2. 02

    Door, Window & Glass Protection

Door and window contacts, glass-break detection and other supported perimeter sensors used where openings or glazed areas require dedicated protection.

  3. 03

    Control Panels & Zoning

Alarm control panels configured into zones and user areas that reflect how the property is occupied, armed and managed. Where supported, different areas may operate on separate schedules or arming permissions.

  4. 04

    Audible & Visual Warning

Sounders, strobes and other supported warning devices configured according to the alarm design and applicable project requirements.

  5. 05

    Panic & Duress Devices

Fixed or supported portable panic devices for locations where staff may need to raise an immediate alarm, such as reception, cash-handling or other higher-risk areas.

  6. 06

    Notifications, Integration & Support

Supported systems can provide authorised notifications and can be coordinated with compatible CCTV, access-control or other security systems where the project requires an integrated response. Where SIRA requirements apply, AMSS can coordinate the intruder-alarm design and implementation with the applicable security-system specifications and approval requirements.

Common questions

What Businesses Ask About Intruder Alarms

01Can one alarm system protect separate areas independently?

Yes. Supported alarm panels can be configured into zones or areas so different parts of a property can be armed, disarmed or managed according to the way the site operates.

02How do you reduce false alarms?

Detector type, placement, zoning and commissioning are selected according to the conditions of each protected area. Environmental factors and normal site activity are considered so the system is less likely to generate avoidable false activations.

03Can an intruder alarm be linked to CCTV?

Yes, where the selected systems provide compatible integration. An alarm event may be coordinated with CCTV recording, bookmarks, camera views or other supported workflows according to the surveillance and alarm platforms being used.

04Can the alarm send notifications to our phones?

Supported systems may provide app, SMS, email or other authorised notification methods depending on the selected alarm platform, communications connection and security requirements.

05Does an intruder alarm need to meet SIRA requirements in Dubai?

Requirements depend on the property, business activity and security-system scope. SIRA's Preventive Systems Manual includes technical requirements for alarm and intruder-detection systems and specific requirements for certain facilities. Where applicable, AMSS can coordinate the system with the relevant SIRA specifications and approval process.
